Cook Island Language Week!

The Determined Dinosaurs had an amazing time learning more about the Cook Island Culture and language!

We decided to make our own Tivaevae to present at the Cook Island show case on Friday!

Take a look at what we did...
First we used a ruler and a pencil to draw
straight lines to create a border. Next we drew triangle patterns
around the outside of the border.
Then we designed our own Frangipani flower
designs in the middle of our Tivaevae.

Then we carefully coloured in our Tivaevae patterns using
bright coloured crayons.
Last we used black felt tip pens to trace over the
lines to help them stand out!

Finally we joined all of our patterns together to create our own Tivaevae!!
